********  UPDATED HOUR 17********

*Taking a break to go to Viking fest during House 7!*

This is my 19th readathon (see links below). Today you can find me posting on Litsy and as @avidreader25.

After the strangeness of the past year, it's a joy to return to something familiar. Dewey Readathons have been a staple in my house for a decade now! Now I always make sure I have a selection of shorter books, plays, and graphic novels to choose from each April and October. Here's to a day spent reading and snacking!

Reading Stats:
Pages Read:
 706
Currently Reading:
A Pocketful of Hope for Mothers
Books Finished: Our Souls at Night, The Bear, Shortcomings and I Love to Eat

Mid-Event Survey:
1. What are you reading right now?
Our Souls at Night

2. How many books have you read so far? 3

3. What book are you most looking forward to? The Book of Will

4. Have you had many interruptions? I took a break to attend a fun Viking Fest event for a few hours. Other than that (and my kids) it has been a good reading day!

5. What surprises you most about the Read-a-thon, so far? My book selection. So many good ones this time!

Introduction Quiz:
1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?

Indianapolis

2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?

Shortcomings

3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?

Chips and guacamole!

4) Tell us a little something about yourself! I've read all the works of Shakespeare. My pup Ollie has participated in every Dewey readathon with me. And we just had a Dragons Love Tacos party to celebrate my youngest kiddo's birthday!

5) If you participated in the last readathon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? I might read with my kids a little more this time. My kids are 2 and 5 and it will be fun to read to them and get them excited about the readathon too! We're also going to swing by a fun local Viking Fest later. It's always entertaining.

Lovely to see some familiar faces on the readathon linky page :-)
I can't believe your kids are 5 and 2 already! Your trip to Sydney seems so long ago.

Good luck with your reading plans. I'm hoping to read some kids books today too - it will be a good thing to do for work.

Brona - Can you believe how fast time flies? We talk about that trip frequently and can't wait to take the girls there one day.
