I do love old cemeteries, you learn some interesting things about those who came before us.

I also really like old cemeteries. Great shot!

Like Diane and Ana I love them too. We have a super old one near where I grew up, but nothing we have in the US compares to what you find in Europe.

I bet that was amazing to visit in person.

Death is messy and not neatly organised... Thanks for posting. Always interesting discovering new places through the blogosphere.

Diane - There is something wonderful about seeing remnants of all the people who came before you.

Nymeth - Aren't they wonderful!

Sandy - My mom used to take us to old cemeteries when we were little and I always loved that so much. European ones do have a lot more history though.

Carol - It definitely gives you some perspective about your own life.

Karen - It was really powerful.

Roobo69 - It is messy. The cemetery really gave you that feeling.

Such a cool shot. Were you able to see the names and dates on the headstones or were they pretty much worn away?

Interesting photo! One of my hobbies is cemetery photography. :)

Natalie - I could see some of the writing, but it was in Hebrew so I couldn't read it.

Jo - I love taking photographs at cemeteries too. Some of the monuments and gravestones are so beautiful.

My mom always told me stories of how her grandma would take her to the cemetery for picnics and I've been kind of obsessed with old and beautiful ones ever since. Such a beautiful photo! Thanks for the post!

Good one for October! Beautiful cemetery.

Sarah - I love that idea. It always bothered me that kids are taught to be afraid of cemeteries. There's so much to learn from them!

I'm glad you posted this picture! When we visited Prague by the time we got to the cemetery it was closed and so we could only peek through the gates and couldn't see much. Would LOVE to visit the city again one day with a bit more time.

Trish - Every time I go to a city I feel like there's so much more I could see. Prague was such a beautiful one too!
