This
week's Top Ten from The Broke and the Bookish asks for the Top Ten
Books on My Spring 2014 TBR List. I’ve got an interesting collection of
books that I need to read for my book club, challenges, trip planning
and a few just because books.
1) The Warden and Barchester Towers for my Chronicles of Barsetshire Read-Along
2) The Lotus Eaters by Tatjana Soli
3) Positively Fifth Street by James McManus
4) Twenty Years by Alexandre Dumas
5) The Invisible Bridge by Julie Orringer
6) Blankets by Craig Thompson
7) The Origin of Species by Charles Darwin
8) This is the Story of a Happy Marriage by Ann Patchett
9) Dune by Frank Herbert
10) New Zealand and Australia travel guides!
Have you read any of these? Which one should I start with?

Wow, that is a diverse list! The Lotus Eaters is really good. I need to read Blankets, I've been wanting to read it for years.
I haven't read any of these, but Anthony Trollope keeps popping up everywhere! I think it's a sign. :)
Here's my Top Ten TBR:

Blankets is SO great! I hope you enjoy it. I've really been wanting to get to This is a Story of a Happy Marriage, too.
Let me know when you're going to read the Lotus Eaters and I will read along with you. It's on my TBR pile as well and i need some motivation!
I hope you love This is the Story of a Happy Marriage as much as I did. What a diverse list!
Great list! I read The Warden years ago and remember enjoying it but not much else.
And I loved The Lotus Eaters and Blankets - both are excellent.
I have read NONE of these but want to read ALL of them. Dune intrigues me so very, very much. I'm not even sure I know what it's about.
I keep hearing such amazing things about Blankets! I really wanted to get to it last month but I just didn't get to it. Enjoy these!
That's a beautifully varied list you have there!
Dune is really fantastic as are some of the sequels. And thus concludes what I have read from your list ha ha! I need and would like to read Darwin and the rest of the list looks very interesting too. My TTT.
Awesome list, I have actually only read The Invisible Bridge, and I have to say, though it started out good for me, I got bored towards the end. So many people love it though, so I'm curious to hear what you think about it!
Sandy - I think Lotus Eaters looks so good! We picked it as one of our book club books this year.
abibliophilesstyle - Join in and read a Trollope book with us!
Shannon - I'm such a big fan of Patchett, I can't wait to read it.
52booksorbust - Ok, it's my May book club book, so I'm thinking it will be the second half of April.
JoAnn - I'm such a sucker for Patchett's writing, so I hope I like it!
Carrie - Blankets gets such great reviews from everyone!
Brooke - My Dad has been telling me about Dune for years.
Trish - You read so many great graphic novels last month! I'm going to have to make a list of new ones I want to read now.
Andi - Thanks! I have weird taste in books.
Stephanie - Oh good! It's been on my list forever.
Jillian - It's a long one, so I'm a bit nervous about that.
I admit I havent heard of "Blankets." What's that about? I think of your list I pick the Patchett and Dune. Go for it!
I think I'll read Framley Parsonage with y'all in June. I'm interested to see how similar the plot is to Tooth and Claw. :)
thecuecard - It's a graphic novel about a young man coming-of-age in Wisconsin. I've heard such great things about it!
abibliophilesstyle - You should! That's actually what started this whole readalong in the first place.
Great list! The Lotus Eaters has been on my TBR for far too long. Hopefully I'll get to it sometime soon!
Kat - Me too. I remember reading great reviews and now I can't even remember what it's about.
