Sandy - It was built in the 1970s by a Minnesota guy who wanted to navigate his way from the USA to Norway! He built the whole thing himself as an exact replica of a Norwegian ship. He died of cancer before he could make the trip, but his adult children braved the sea and took the trip in his honor. We watched a documentary on it while we were at the museum.
