Show and Tell

I’m over at Random Ramblings today, taking part in Jillian’s Show and Tell feature. I had to pick one of my favorite books, take a picture with it and explain why I love it. I decided to pick one that no one else had chosen yet (which ruled out The Book Thief, Jane Eyre and a dozen others). I hope you'll stop by and check out everyone's answers.

Ok I seriously need to add Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil to my TBR.

What a great idea! Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil is one of my favorites. I didn't find out it was non-fiction until after I read it.

Oh, good choice. I always feel bad for John Berendt because he hasn't been able to produce anything comparable. MITGOGAE is a fantastic achievement - when I saw the real Chablis in the movie, I was dumbfounded by how perfectly Berendt had captured her on paper.

Brenna - Yes, gorgeous nonfiction.

Captain - That would have changed the whole experience for me, but not in a bad way.

Mumsy - I know, I couldn't believe that was the real Chablis, but I loved getting to see her. I really enjoyed Berendt's book The City of Falling Angels. It's not as good as his first, but I read it on a train on my way to Venice, (the city it's about), so that made it much more special than it would have been.

I'm headed over, but I can see from the comments which book you picked. Can I just say that the audio freaking ROCKS? I've kept it on my iPod for years because I know I'll listen again.

Yay, I just picked up your choice this weekend from B&N used books for 3$. My daughter who was visiting from NY loves it and made me buy it. I guess I have to move it up my list. Thanks!

Sandy - I need to listen to it again. It's been far too long.

BookQuoter - I hope it's not a disappointment now that we've hyped it!
