Wordless Wednesday: Fish Market

The Lexington fish market in Baltimore.
How weird is it that they have muskrat and squid?

More Wordless Wednesday here.

Weird market. Great shot.

Squid is understandable, but muskrat? Isn't that a rodent? Ick.

Quite a varied selection at that market. I see rabbit too!

I am envious of the fresh fish markets on the coasts. Here in Chicago it's difficult to find reasonably priced fresh fish. We get 'fresh frozen' stuff.

It's getting so hard to find good muskrat these days.

None for me, thanks! Reminds me of the meat market in Chinatown in SF.

That captures a bit of local culture for sure.

Who eats muskrat? I almost wish I'd just hung out there for awhile to see if anyone ever bought that.

Leslie - I feel the same way. I'm in Indy, so it's frozen for us too. I took this while I was in Baltimore just for a weekend. The mussels and crab legs I had on that trip were amazing!

Aren't these markets awesome. I wish I live in a place with one. Like the caption "...here lies the departed".

BookQuoter - The guy who runs the market stand must have a pretty funny sense of humor.
