Of course I couldn't leave without a few goodies. I found three classics that just had to come home with me. Their prices were really reasonable and I had a hard time keeping it to only three books. I bought a 1924 copy of "When We Were Young" by A.A. Milne, a copy of “Winesburg, Ohio” by Sherwood Anderson and a beautiful edition of Gene Stratton-Porter’s “Michael O’Halloran” because I loved “A Girl of the Limberlost” so much!
There were great little signs identifying each each section of books (above). There was also a huge selection of tea at the front of the shop.
One of the best parts of the whole shop is hidden in the back in the children's section. There's a Harry Potter nook under the stairs!!! There was a complete set of the books, a photo of Harry, Ron, and Hermione, a Gryffindor scarf and glasses. If I were younger I might have curled up on the little bed with a book! There were many literary themed gifts in the shop as well, coffee mugs, etc. I loved all the unique details that popped up around each corner. One sign on the fireplace mantle (above) said "Monthly Movie Crush: Benedict Cumberbatch". I mean really, tell me you don't want to be friends with these ladies! I loved everything about the shop and can't wait to visit again.

Wish I had one like that near me. Our indie stores are so few and far between now.
It looks absolutely delightful! But you didn't tell us which books you bought :)
I'd love to spend a couple of hours there!
What a lovely bookstore! Yes, I'd be inclined to spend a couple of hour (or even more) there. I love to find new bookstores! Love the Harry Potter nook.

Lisa - You're right! I added my three books to the post. Thanks!
JoAnn - I wished I'd had even more time!
Kay - That nook was my favorite part!
Love that carpet, too! Thanks for sharing. I'll have to check that one out next time I'm in that area.

That bookstore might just be worth a road trip. I'd be willing to drive quite a ways for a chance to be Harry Potter. :)
That looks so cozy and perfect!
Oh! I was trying to find somebody to give Winesburg Oh to. I will be most curious of your thoughts - it would be a good to one to take a lit class on. (My way of saying, I needed it to be explained.)
Jay - You should. It's really worth a visit!
Julie - I know! Such a fun idea.
Jillian - It was wonderful!
bkclubcare - I read it a few years ago. It was dark, but I kind of loved it.
It looks like a great vintage bookshop. Man I'd be in there for an hour or two. Now where is that : which part of the IU state?
Thecuecard - It's in Richmond on the east side of the state near Ohio.
